What You'll Be Doing...

As the Associate Director of Base Management's Channel Engagement & Personalization, you will play a pivotal role developing and enabling personalized communication strategies across multiple channels to increase customer engagement and customer's experience which results in a win/win for Verizon and the customer, while growing Verizon Prepaid's revenue, profitability, and market share. The associate director of Channel Engagement & Personalization will be responsible for implementing new solutions that lead to personalization process improvements and result in increased customer engagement and retention.

This role covers all brands in the value portfolio, includingTracfone, Visible, and Verizon Prepaid. Enabling cross functional partners to preserve and grow revenue streams is a primary function of this leader and will be accomplished through 1) Data-driven personalization Strategy; 2) execution and measurement of personalization programs; 3) Delivery of future Personalization Strategy.

This leader will work across key business initiatives that support Base Management Churn goals and improve COA/COR/Yield. Initiatives include, but not limited to: Loyalty/Retention, Migrations, Rev Gen and business planning.

The Associate Director will lead a team in defining and enabling personalization strategies, including segmentation, dynamic content, recommendation engines, and behavioral triggers.

Key Priority: Personalization Strategy & Technology

  • Leading the team that will develop and execute a comprehensive personalization strategy across multiple channels including, but not limited to IVR, Web, Email, Mobile Apps, SMS, Call Center and Social Media.

  • Driving the future of personalization and engagement by managing strategic personalization roadmap.

  • Socializing current and future state of personalization strategies, roadmap and metrics across the organization.

  • Staying abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in marketing personalization, and recommend innovative strategies to enhance the customer experience and drive business results.

Key Priority: Program Leadership and Management

  • Supporting enablement of recommendation engine and leverage behavioral triggers in partnership with communications teams (PEGA, Marketing) and data science.

  • Collaborating across functional teams including CX, operations, marketing, data science, product and GTS teams to implement personalization technologies and solutions.

  • Leading the implementation and optimization of marketing automation platforms and personalization tools, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and processes.

  • Bring responsibe for backlog and prioritization.

  • Defining, documenting, and socializing personalization tactics ways of working and process mapping.

  • Informing and influencing key stakeholders and foster cross-functional collaboration throughout the organization.

Key Priority: Metrics and Insights

  • Utilizing data analytics and customer insights to identify segmentation opportunities and personalize content based on demographics, behaviors, preferences, and lifecycle stages.

  • Identifying and supporting best in class recommendation of engine models and behavioral triggers, including new technology that drive scale and reliability of personalization tactics.

  • Liaising with the Data Science Team to develop and optimize models that help us segment and guide our customers to best experiences and actions.

  • Collaborating with Data Science on ongoing reporting and measuring of tactics impact on business Define key metrics and dashboard.

Key Priority: Culture and Leadership:

  • Leading a team in supporting implementation of segmentation & communication strategies across channels.

  • Fostering a culture of experimentation and learning with the marketing team, encouraging testing and iteration to uncover new insights and opportunities for personalization.

  • Providing leadership, mentorship, and guidance to a team of marketers and analysts, fostering their professional development and growth in the field of marketing personalization.

  • Defining KPIs and metrics to measure the effectiveness of personalization efforts, and regularly analyze and report on performance to drive continuous improvement.

  • Assessing the skills and capabilities of the team and identify opportunities for training, upskilling, and talent development.

  • Investing in building expertise in emerging technologies, data analysis, and strategic personalization capabilities.

  • Recognizing and rewarding collaboration and cross-functional teamwork, both formally and informally. This encourages a culture of collaboration and reinforces the importance of working together towards shared goals and objectives.

In this role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days (in-office days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Relevant work experience in marketing automation and personalization platforms (e.g., Pega, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Target, HubSpot, Optimizely).

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate insights into actionable recommendations.

  • Knowledge of latest trends and best practices in development and CX experience.

  • Willingness to travel, approximately up to 25%.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • MBA/ MS.

  • Proven track record of success in developing and implementing marketing personalization strategies in a fast-paced data-driven environment.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Strategic thinker with a customer-centric mindset and passion for delivering exceptional personalized experiences.

  • Demonstrated ability to direct and set strategy; follow through with execution.

  • Proven ability to take initiative, influence others and achieve results.

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and evolving environment, with a high degree of adaptability and resilience.

  • Ability to lead large cross-functional teams with direct experience coordinating across planning & roadmap.

  • Ability to find unique solutions to complex challenges.

  • High proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision, and independently manage concurrent projects to timely completion.

  • Has broad understanding of products and technologies across Verizon Value TracFone brands and how they may strategically align with projects.

  • Ability to negotiate, influence, manage and drive action Proven track record of defining and delivering innovative go-to-market strategies that drive long-term results.

  • Generally considered an industry expert amongst internal and external peer groups.

  • Experience leading or participating in panel discussions.

  • Leadership experience, including managing teams and driving cross-functional initiatives, is highly desirable.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
