Park Lane New York, situated on Billionaires' Row - home to the world's most coveted addresses on
Central Park South - has been completely reimagined as a departure from its neighbors and serves as a
unique and inclusive retreat within walking distance of the city's cultural hubs including Lincoln Center,
Carnegie Hall, 5th Avenue shopping, and the Museum of Modern Art. The 47-story property features 610
rooms - nearly half of which provide sweeping park-facing views - and 11,000 square feet of reimagined
indoor and outdoor event space. A fitness center perched on the fifth floor offers state-of-the-art
equipment and its own separate outdoor terrace. The reimagined hotel features three new food & beverage venues throughout the hotel including an 80-seat lobby bar with an outdoor promenade, an intimate restaurant on the hotel's second floor, and CentralPark South's only rooftop lounge atop the hotel. Perched on the 47th floor, the cocktail bar will treat guests to a one-of-a-kind experience against the backdrop of Manhattan's sprawling skyline and park.

Overview

The versatile role of Food & Beverage Attendant is responsible for all aspects of the Grab and Go from order through delivery and cleanup. This role is also responsible for the set-up, stocking and breakdown of the service area.

Responsibilities
    Maintain cleanliness of the Grab and Go area
  • Handle multiple tasks such as order taking, preparing coffee, tea, serving pastries, restocking the area as needed and greeting guests.
  • Be available to take orders, deliver orders and complete transactions based on business needs throughout the shift.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain appearance standards as outlined in the employee handbook.
  • Provide courteous service and be cordial to all team members and guests.
  • Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.
  • Other duties as directed by management.

Hourly rate: $30.74 - $40.98 per hour

Qualifications

  • Excellent oral communications skills.
  • Excellent hygiene habits.
  • Must possess reasonable ability to communicate in English.
  • Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.
  • Experience in hospitality industry in similar position, luxury property preferable.
  • Must work well under pressure.
  • Must be able to stand throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to lift up to forty pounds on an intermittent basis.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop lift, reach, push, pull, twist, walk, crouch, and squat.
  • Ability to follow specified procedures to provide prompt, efficient and gracious customer service to hotel guests in their rooms, including answering department telephones, taking and delivering orders, and preparing and presenting guests checks.
  • Ability to provide the same level of luxury service to guests that are visiting the hotel for a special event.
  • Ability to communicate in English, verbally and written, with guests and fellow associates.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, evenings and overnights.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to interact with guests effectively and in a courteous manner.
  • Ability to understand guest inquiries and provide empowered responses.
  • Ability to focus on guest's needs.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and make good judgments.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow associates as part of a team.
  • Excellent guest relations skills.
  • Be familiar with hospitality terminology.
  • Comply with all Hotel Standards and Safety & Security Standards to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Complete all required hotel and department specific trainings (ie: TIPS training, etc.)
