UX Researcher, Operations
Your Tasks and Responsibilities:
As Bayer Crop Science's digital farming arm, we advance regenerative agriculture and technology breakthroughs using the latest agronomic science, data science, engineering, and real-world farming experience. With groundbreaking technologies like Climate FieldView and our ForGround regenerative agriculture platform, our team is a part of some of the most important advancements in ag.
As a Bayer Digital Farming UX Researcher(Operations), you will facilitate, support, and optimize user research activities within the organization,includingcoordinating research projects and maintaining the quality of research processesand documentation.In this role, you will ensure that user research is conducted effectively, and that the insights gained areintegrated into product development processes to drive user-centered and informeddecision-making. Some of the things you can expect in this role are:
  • Research Planning Initiative: Proactively support the development of research plans, timelines, and strategies, ensuring alignment with broader project goals and timelines, and taking ownership of specific planning tasks under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Methodology Familiarization and Application: Actively learn and understand research methodologies, best practices, and techniques to support the coaching of product managers, and apply this knowledge in tasks and responsibilities.
  • Continuous Improvement: Provide valuable input and observations to senior staff for the feedback and performance reviews of product managers regarding their utilization of user research findings, taking ownership of specific feedback-related tasks.
  • Active Knowledge Sharing: Actively participate in knowledge sharing with product managers, contribute to discussions, and potentially organize workshops or sessions to share insights and best practices.
  • Effective Communication Initiative: Take the initiative to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and product managers, potentially facilitating knowledge sharing and coaching sessions under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Project Coordination: Support the Product Managers in managing specific aspects of user research projects, including participant scheduling, stakeholder coordination, and ensuring the smooth execution of research activities.
  • Participant Recruitment Responsibility: Actively participate in identifying and recruiting suitable participants for user research studies, ensuring diverse representation and adherence to research requirements, and taking ownership of specific recruitment tasks.
  • Data Management Ownership: Take accountability for organizing and maintaining specific aspects of research data, including participant information, consent forms, and research findings, while ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations.
  • Documentation Management: Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of documentation standards for research processes, ensuring consistency and clarity in research documentation and reporting, taking ownership of specific documentation tasks.
  • Tool Management Responsibility: Take ownership of managing specific research tools and software, ensuring they are up to date and accessible to the research team, and providing basic training or support as needed.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Information Science, or a related discipline.
  • 4+ years experience in user research, user experience (UX) research, or a related field.
  • Experience driving and supporting user research in a coordination or operational capacity.
  • Familiarity with research methodologies, data collection techniques, and analysis methods.
  • Understanding of product development processes and the role of user research within those processes.

What We Offer:
Base salary estimated range between $120-170k annually, depending on the hiring location. You may also be offered bonuses, RSUs cash equivalent, or commission.
