• Provide leadership to manufacturing employees by being visible, clear in communicating relevant information, and coaching to drive employee performance.
• Accountable for maintaining accurate quality metrics and concise, professional communication with our internal and external customers.
• Drive continuous improvement of site procedures and processes to drive lower customer complaints, higher efficiencies, and lower costs to the business.
• Train and assist in the development/onboarding plans of new hires.
• Analyze opportunities to improve quality and yield by engaging employees through continuous improvement activities.
• Create and maintain a culture of respect, professionalism, and cooperation among the team.
• Lead the development and implementation of the cost savings program.
• Maintain and calibrate all necessary testing equipment, product specification process, and non-conforming product management.
• Manage outturn sampling and Certificate of Analysis (COA) process.
• Ensure the effective implementation of the site Quality Management Systems and compliance with any external certifications, performing audits and conducting routine reviews with Management.
• Responsible for the execution of the customer complaints process, conducting thorough investigations, corrective and preventative actions, and communication to internal and external stakeholders.
• This role drives improvements through both strategic and tactical leadership of daily improvement, focused improvement events, and standard work processes.
• Manage projects and maintain tracking systems to drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and cost.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, paper science or another technical field is required.
• Prior related experience in a process-oriented manufacturing environment and continuous improvement processes such as Lean and Six Sigma are preferred.

• Highly motivated and self-directed to enable success in working in a matrix reporting environment.
• Strong problem solving, quantitative, analytical skills. Six Sigma or ASQ Certification a plus.
