Summary: The location of this work is at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. The nature of this work is programming support throughout the Project Development life cycle phases that serve both the development and implementation of courseware and multimedia products. Providing support services to the Directorate of Training and Doctrine/Learning Technology Division/Instructional Multimedia Solutions Branch.
Job Description:
Provide programming and multimedia support for training development projects.
Integrate media components in asynchronous, synchronous training products using approved government applications (i.e., captivate, articulate, rise, storyline etc.)
Develop and implement training applications on various computing platforms and
equipment configurations.
Modify, test and/or program training products using government approved multimedia applications.
Design and modify code of interactive multimedia instruction to run in various user environments, such as CD-ROM, low-and high-bandwidth Internet, and networked electronic classrooms.
Serve as consultant in selecting and recommending the proper combination of government-approved software programs and tools to meet complex learner need.
Provide support for course SCORM implementation and learning management systems and other software programs specified by the customer.
Provide programming support throughout the Project Development life
cycle phases that serve both the development and implementation of courseware and multimedia
products which includes but is not limited to:
1. Programming SCORM conformant content packages (3rd and 4th editions)
2. Multimedia/interactive content development
3. Technical maintenance of courseware in accordance with user environment requirements
4. Course programming
5. Interoperability with Learning Management Systems (LMS), such as JKO, AtlasPro, BlackBoard
6. Experience with Adobe Flash CS6 (ActionScript 3 programming)
7. Experience with Adobe Captivate
8. JavaScript programming including the JQuery Core API
9. JavaScript Object Notation (JSON)
10. Extensible Markup Language (XML) document and data encoding
11. Representational State Transfer (ReST) protocol
12. Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) information exchange
13. HTML and HTML5 markup languages programming, including CSS
14. Section 508 development standards for website accessibility
Required Qualifications:
Level III: over 10 years' experience and/or a MA/MS degree or certification.
Knowledge of specialized computer languages such as HTML, Java, Rails, and PHP
Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Content Management
Systems (CMS)
