GENERAL PURPOSE

The Business Operations Coordinator serves as a liaison between Sales/Customer Care and Operations. They are responsible for being a SME in the Customer Sales & Success team as it relates to Operational activities. This position also performs other functions and follow-up activities related to product returns, customer care, and order management. Demonstrates an ability to operate independently and consistently execute the department's core responsibilities across all brands of Legrand | AV.

DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Provide world-class customer service to internal and external customers serving as a key escalation point to the Customer & Sales Success team.
  • Build and maintain strong internal and external customer relationships through regular meetings and communications.
  • Support day-to-day coordination of activities from order entry through production, shipping, receiving, invoicing, and returns to ensure best customer experience
  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams across Legrand AV, specifically within Warehouse Operations and Production.
  • Assess order expedite needs to prioritize requests, follow up, and white glove for the overall best outcome.
  • Proactively look for projects to coordinate, lead, and organize across departments for efficiency.
  • Support Customer facing teams with data and reporting to insure smooth daily operations and order management.
  • Be a Subject Matter Expert to our Customer Sales & Success teams for order flow and material requirements planning.
  • Liaise between cross-functions to ensure smooth operations delivery.
  • Follow standard operating procedures for efficient business operations.
  • Maintain clear and accurate process documentation.
  • Maintain current knowledge of company products and processes through training and other available resources.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards and procedures.
  • Understand workplace hazards and take steps to proactively prevent and report hazards or injuries in the workplace. Cooperate in Safety Programs, initiatives, and investigations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Outstanding collaboration and interpersonal skills; professional presence and behavior with ability to handle confidential information
  • High degree of resourcefulness
  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
  • Advanced personal computer skills including an enterprise resource system
  • Proven ability to make sound decisions to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage several projects at one time while providing high attention to details and excellent follow-through skills
  • Advanced level of computer literacy. Requires advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Excel, Outlook).
  • Demonstrated ability to persuade and negotiate mutually beneficial outcomes
  • Willingness to include travel

Minimum Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5 years working experience in sales, marketing, operations, customer service or related role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with SAP or ERP systems
  • Previous experience with Salesforce.com
  • Previous experience with Power BI

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required (for the majority of the working day) to sit and make coordinated movements of the fingers for data entry on a keyboard. Duties will occasionally require the employee to be able to reach above shoulder level, reach below knee level, bend, stoop, squat/kneel, lift, push or pull.
  • General office environment.
  • Long-distance or air travel as needed - not to exceed 15% travel.
