Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply knowledge of industrial engineering, production operations and maintenance to manage site maintenance plan to support capital, facilities, utility, and production programs at the company's manufacturing site in St. Louis, Missouri.
  • Apply knowledge of industrial systems and controls to ensure the site's equipment, facilities and utilities adequately support the site's current and future production operations.
  • Play a critical role in maximizing the efficiency and performance of critical systems, therefore preventing site injuries, contamination, and product quality risks.
  • Responsible for managing the site's industrial production processes to deliver cost savings and increased product reliability.
  • Direct plant maintenance plans to ensure adequate operation and availability of production and service equipment.
  • Help develop annual site capital plans by prioritizing department expenses such as supplies, spare parts, and new equipment introductions.
  • Introduce and oversee new engineering strategies and approaches to support increased site capabilities and output. Implement site inventory policies for maintenance supplies and spare parts to reduce unnecessary expenditures and space usage.
  • Play a critical role in preventing non-scheduled production shutdowns, failures to critical systems, environmental contamination, financial losses, and physical injuries.
  • Ensure the site's safe and compliant operations by implementing new company procedures to adapt current policies to evolving Good Engineering Practice, FDA, and quality standards.
  • Develop and execute planned engineering activities aimed at improving the site's safety conditions while adhering to corporate timelines, budgets, and resources.
  • Responsible for preparing action plans in response to safety audits.
  • Manage the delivery of engineering activities from external contractors to ensure compliance with the company's internal standards and expectations.
  • Responsible for safety, quality, and performance management of the Engineering Team supporting production operations. Manage >$2MM US repair parts budget for the site.
  • Ensure that the site maintenance team complies with OSHA, QMS, and GES standards.
  • Execute targeted maintenance of operations equipment and ensure metrics are in place to achieve best in class maintenance.
  • Ensure all work orders are in place and completed on time.
  • Create and manage site spare parts strategy to support production targets and meet working capital goals.
  • Oversee training and future talent development of Engineers, FLLS, and Craft Team Members.
  • Directly manage FLLs, plant electrical engineer, and reliability engineer.
  • Team player working with other departments to meet site goals.
  • 10% domestic travel in the U.S.

Why you?

Basic Qualifications

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Industrial Engineering or a related field
  • 5 years of progressive experience in conducting and managing engineering and maintenance projects and operations activities in a pharmaceutical or consumer healthcare environment; and ensuring engineering activities meet FDA, OSHA and NFPA regulatory requirements.
  • 10% domestic travel in the U.S.
