Seeking an Insurance Portfolio Manager within the OCIO General Account Portfolio Management team. The candidate will be responsible for a wide array of portfolio management activities across individual multi asset portfolios that support specific business segments, while working very closely with the team to ensure the overall strategic General Account portfolio goals are successful within given risk parameters.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage day-to-day activities of individual portfolios with the scope of maximizing yield/returns while ensuring portfolios remain compliant within guidelines.
  • Dynamically manage allocations across different asset classes based on cash flow, asset allocation needs, duration and convexity and adherence to the overall business plan.
  • Manage portfolios with a strong understanding of insurance company constraints related to Asset Liability Management, business P&L context, capital and risk.
  • Coordinate with the Asset Liability Managementteam, derivatives team, and risk management to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Work independently and collaboratively with a group of seasoned professionals to guide, consult, and influence investment decision making, exercise critical judgement across asset and sector allocations and partner with quantitative research groups to drive investment strategies.
  • Provide capital market and cross market expertise to enhance relative value frameworks to identify tactical asset opportunities that consider portfolio goals and constrains, market, insurance, and balance sheet perspective

What You'll Bring:

Must Have:

  • An undergraduate degree is required preferably with a concentration in Finance, Economics, Math, Technology, Science, Accounting.
  • 5+ years of financial services experience at an insurance or investment management company, preferably with a strong track record in in managing complex cross sector fixed income insurance portfolios.
  • Strong understanding of insurance products, liabilities and product pricing, asset allocation and/or fixed income markets.
  • Applicant should be intellectually curious, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and possess strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and effectively in large, matrixed organization with multiple decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to think independently, having taken an innovative approach to investment and asset allocation strategy in past roles, ideally as it relates to insurance portfolio management including balance sheet, capital, and risk constraints.
  • Ability to make thoughtful and timely decisions combining informed judgments and consistent frameworks.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
