POSITION SUMMARY
The Station Manager at AES plays a pivotal role in overseeing ground support equipment maintenance operations, with a specialized focus on Boeing Dreamlifter Operations. Responsible for directing and managing operations, the Station Manager leads ground and underwing teams in validating special cargo, cargo build-up, and aircraft loading and unloading processes, with an emphasis on optimizing Dreamlifter Operations. The Station Manager ensures seamless integration and optimization of ground support equipment maintenance processes and equipment operations performed by technicians. This critical position involves maintaining equipment quality assurance, supervising technicians, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency specific to Dreamlifter Operations. By orchestrating schedules and ensuring technical proficiency, the Station Manager contributes significantly to the smooth functioning of Boeing Dreamlifter Operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Direct and manage operations, leading ground/underwing teams and suppliers in the validation of special cargo, cargo build-up, and aircraft loading and unloading processes, with a particular emphasis on Boeing Dreamlifter Operations.
Monitor the safety performance of teams and suppliers and provide directional change and corrective action as necessary to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Lead and direct operational audit activities to assess operational efficiency, safety compliance, and adherence to industry standards and regulations.
Develop, deploy, and validate solutions for standardized processes and procedures for ground operations, training, safety, and maintenance, ensuring alignment with Boeing and industry standards.
Evaluate supplier operations plans and processes for conformity to Boeing and industry standards, providing feedback and guidance to ensure operational excellence and contractual compliance.
Lead and manage a team of technicians, ensuring their performance consistently meets and exceeds company safety, quality, and efficiency standards, with a particular focus on specialized equipment utilized in Boeing Dreamlifter Operations.
Oversee Dreamlifter Operations, collaborating with the Ramp Manager to ensure seamless integration and optimization of ground support equipment maintenance processes, including ramp activities and equipment operations performed by technicians.
Develop and manage the work schedule based on equipment availability, customer operational needs, and Dreamlifter operational requirements, ensuring seamless integration and optimization of ground support equipment maintenance processes.
Ensure the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the work area, tool accountability, and appropriate shop practices, aligning with Boeing's cleanliness and safety standards.
Collaborate with the Global Maintenance Manager and Contract Manager to ensure alignment of maintenance activities with broader organizational goals and contractual obligations, fostering effective communication and coordination across all relevant stakeholders.
Analyze site activity performance indicators specific to Dreamlifter Operations and prepare corrective actions based on these indicators, with a focus on optimizing operational efficiency and minimizing downtime.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to train and assist technicians in troubleshooting and repairs related to ground support equipment, ensuring proficiency in handling specialized equipment.
Manage and ensure the on-schedule execution of projects associated with the maintenance station, with a focus on meeting Dreamlifter operational deadlines and requirements.
Maintain and manage shop schedules, approve PTO requests, and oversee timecard management for the entire team, ensuring adequate staffing levels and effective utilization of resources to support Dreamlifter Operations.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree, or equivalent; 5+ years related work experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
3-5 years' experience in a leadership/supervisory role.
Robust leadership and team management skills, along with a proven dedication to safety.
Knowledge of GSE products is a plus.
Experience with Computer Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) systems, preferably Hexagon EAM
Detail-oriented, strong sensitivity to deadlines, multitasking ability, strong organizational and problem-solving skills necessary.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Proficient computer skills required (Emails, Internet search, Word, Excel).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers.

Familiar with aviation/aerospace environment and standards.
Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
