As a member of Blade Repair Services, you will be part of a team responsible for inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance of our North American fleet.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED, associate degree in Sciences or related field from an accredited school preferred
Experience in project development or adjacent areas within the power sector is an advantage (e.g. market analysis, transmission & interconnection, PPA marketing, electrical engineering, environmental analysis, M&A...).
Structured and organized, able to manage multiple projects at the same time.
Strong problem-solving abilities, interpersonal skills, attention to detail and work ethic.
All applicants must pass physical fitness tests required to maintain Global Wind Organization Certification. In addition, at the discretion of the business, future successful completion of physical fitness tests will be required.
All applicants must possess an unrestricted driver's license in good standing.
Willing and able to obtain and maintain an RWE sponsored, Commercial Driver License (CDL), if so requested by RWE for mobilization of our composite component repair equipment.
Preferred: GWO Certification.
Understanding of wind turbine blade construction, inspection, and repair, including LPS systems
Knowledge of fiberglass types
Demonstrated experience in blade damage assessment and repair.
Experience across multiple manufacturers (i.e. Siemens, GE, Vestas, Nordex)
Previous Blade Access Platform and rigging experience preferred.
Experience of LEP
Understanding of composite materials including (but not limited to), epoxyresins, polyurethane fillers and paint, core materials, and mix ratios
Accurate completion of QA/QC documentation
Ability to read and understand Engineering Work Instructions
Must be able to maintain a personal weight limitation of 270 lbs.
Must be able to climb wind towers on a daily basis. During this task, employee must be able to open/close hatch doors and identify potential safety hazards.
Must be able to balance to: (1) work in closed and small swaying areas on top of and within wind towers, and (2) walk across small surface areas to access areas within wind turbines.
Ability to push/pull/lift tools and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work safely in extreme environments (hot sun, cold, etc.)
Ability to walk, climb, and stand extensively during the work day
Knowledge of and experience with the use of hand and power tools
Knowledge of environmental and safety policies and procedures
Ability to work within tight deadlines
Ability to multi-task, while working independently and as part of a team
Ability and willingness to travel to and from job sites as assigned
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams
Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities
Identify energy isolation points and implement LOTO for protection.
Knowledge of computer network communication protocol and theory of operation is desired.
Ability to understand and communicate root causes required.
Good communication skills and must value being part of a team.
Safety- Promote safety for all at all times.
Initiative - Able to work with minimum supervision and make decisions for all issues related to his/her discipline(s) with limited and/or available information
Travel up to 75%, multiple worksites, hot/cold weather conditions, irregular hours on short notice
