Job Description

To assist in leading the team to sell and service all events at the highest level.

Responsibilities

Serve as a senior CSM in services larger, more complex programs. Assist with other events as needed.

Work with all other operating departments of resort in providing the highest level of service to every
event.
Maximize revenues wherever possible and minimize erosion of check averages from price-sensitive
groups. Communication of function-arrangement to all responsible hotel departments.

Communication with clients prior to functions to initiate, negotiate, and finalized all details for each
event.

Creation of profitable menus and distribution of client expectations to Food & Beverage Departments.
Assist in training and evaluating Catering & Conference Services team members.
Assist with forecasting, budgeting and payroll as needed.
Physically double-check all function arrangements against specifications of client. Correct where
necessary.
Assist with site and planning meetings for new programs to help close /move business forward.
Maximize revenues for the hotel through upselling techniques.
Other duties as assigned by Director
Maintain positive attitude and morale


Tools and Equipment:
Tables and chairs when assisting room set-ups.
Computer and printer, telephone, pen/pencil, file folders, filing cabinet, fax machine and copier,
Working Environment:
Exterior of hotel with exposure to weather conditions
Interior of hotel, in normal office conditions.


Physical Job Requirements (for essential functions only)
Lifting/Pushing/Pulling/ Carrying
Tables, chairs, boxes (50 pound maximum), occasionally


Mobility

Ability to service clients on moments notice, variable distances, 100%


Continuous Standing
Function observation, client site inspections (1 hour minimum to 4 hours maximum)
Driving
For site /planning visits


Work Environment
Inside 95% of work period
Outside 5% of work period - ie. Checking events / touring clients


Hearing/Vision/Speech/Literacy
Hearing is critical (Verbal interaction with guests and associates)
Vision is critical (Viewing set-ups)
Speech is critical (Verbal interaction with guests and associates)
Literacy is critical (Develop marketing plan, create menus and programs, etc)

Protective Clothing
No protective clothing required


Equipment Operation
Computer, typewriter, telephone, calculator, vacuum cleaner and facsimile

Qualifications
    Must have previous exeperience in a resort/hotel environment
  • Must be able to use computer, copier and fax.
  • Extensive computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Must have high level of written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Broad organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and without supervision
