This role is responsible for the following:

Managing the development of database projects and provides all activities related to the administration of computerized databases.
• Evaluates and analyzes functional business requirements, workflow, and existing processes and interfaces.
• Applies business process improvement practices to re-engineer methodologies and practices consistent with sound Database Management Systems (DBMS) principles and existing customer standards and planning documents.
• Applies activity and data modeling, transaction flow analysis, internal control and risk analysis, and performance measurement techniques to develop functional specifications and logical and physical database designs.
• Projects long-range requirements for database administration and design in conjunction with other managers in the information systems function.
• Plans and budgets staff and data resources to support application developers in planning preparation, load analysis, and backup and recovery of data.
• Prepares and delivers presentations on Database Management Systems (DBMS) concepts.

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Management, or other closely related scientific or technical discipline with ten (10) years of experience of which at least eight (8) years must be specialized. If a candidate holds a master's degree (in the fields described above), five (5) years' experience of which at least one (1) year must be specialized. If a candidate possesses at least ten (10) years of experience of which at least eight (8) years must be specialized, a degree is not required.
• At least 10 years' experience of which at least one (1) year must be specialized in Database Management Systems.
• No degree requirement for individuals with ten years of experience of which at least eight (8) years are specialized in DBMS.
• MS degree preferred.

Must have the following required Technical Skills/Experience:

• 10 years practical experience with IBM Lotus Domino 8.0 or greater.
• 7 years practical experience with Oracle DBA.
• 5 years practical experience with Active Directory, Adobe Acrobat Creative Cloud, VM Ware, HTML, JAVA, XML, JQUERY, PowerShell and Navy JLLS Connection.
• 2 years practical experience with monitoring and managing databases, plus CompTia Datasys+ certification.

Clearance Requirement: Active Security Clearance required, must be a U.S. Citizen.
