Summary
The Manager, Accounting Systems is primarily responsible for support, maintenance, development, testing and implementation of all internally developed and 3rd party systems utilized by accounting . These systems include SAP, Ariba, FPx, Navitaire and a suite of internally developed systems. This individual serves as a technical point-of-contact between accounting and the IT Department and assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing, updating accounting desk procedures and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. The Accounting Systems Manager will also assist with accounting projects as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in accounting, business management, information systems, or related field.
Years of Experience:
*Minimum five (5) years of experience in IT operations, accounting systems, implementations, and administration, producing detailed specifications and writing programmer requirements, testing accounting systems in controlled environments before going live and preparation of training manuals for users.
*Minimum five (5) years of experience and knowledge in accounting functions, procedures and systems.

*Prior experience working in public companies and knowledge of accounting system compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 (SOX).
*Skilled in Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
*Highly organized with proven multi-tasking ability.
*Excellent problem solving and structured thinking skills.
*Ability to work effectively in diverse environments.
*Strong analytical skills, communication, ability to work under pressure, high initiative and decision-making skills are key competences to succeed in this position.
*Attention to detail is essential.
*Team approach and a positive attitude.

Preferred Requirements
*Experience with SAP HANA S/4, SAP Ariba, and Aviation-related accounting applications.

Job Duties
*Administer current accounting systems and software.
*Present ideas for system improvements, including cost proposals.
*Collaborate with developer's analysts and staff, quality assurance and business from beginning of project life cycle until implementation.
*Produce detailed specifications and writing programmer requirements.
*Test applications in controlled environment before going live.
*Plan, write test cases, test reports, and test software and hardware requirements.
*Ensure that functional designs meet business requirements and desired outcome is achieved.
*Troubleshoot accounting system / application problems, improvements or field complaints.
*Assist with root cause analysis.
*Manage multiple projects in parallel while contributing to other projects.
*Preparation of training manuals for users.
*Main point of contact for accounting system issues.
*Report, maintain and track status of department accounting system issues.
*Assist with all existing and new accounting system testing and system implementation.
*Attend accounting system meetings, maintain meeting notes and follow-up on questions that were addressed during the meeting.
*Work collaboratively with the IT Department and the Accounting Department.
*Manage and report on: projects, issues, timelines/schedules and project progress/status/risk.
*Assist with the review and updating of accounting desk procedures periodically to be current with departmental changes.
*Review, analyze and assist in implementing any automation improvement opportunities for the Accounting Department.
*Assist in new hire access.
*Oversee a team of system analysts and ensure they understand and apply Allegiant's customer service standards in their daily responsibilities.
*Ensure any direct reports understand and apply our Customer Commitment and customer service standards to their daily responsibilities as appropriate.
*Model Allegiant's customer service standards in personal actions and when providing leadership direction.
*Other duties as assigned.

Office - While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, key board, printer, and phone. May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 20 lbs. May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones, printers, and foot traffic), temperature and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Some travel may be a requirement of the role.
