CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Project Executive to join our Commericial & Institutional Group - PMCM at our Boston, MA location to support our clients throughout Massachusetts. This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic individual to lead projects and grow a team within a successful group.

Our Project Management teams deliver on-time, on-budget, design, and construction projects to our clients. We actively lead a project and support the owner from preliminary planning and design through construction and project close-out with a focus on three core priorities: schedule, cost, and quality. We are experts in the oversite and management of construction, and we'll bring a deep bench of talent and expertise to make the owner's vision a reality.

This is a hybrid opportunity that will require the PX to spend time in the office, project sites, owner's and consultants' offices, and attend evening meetings on occasion.

Our Project Management teams work closely with and on behalf of our clients to ensure the on-time, on-budget, high quality completion of a design and construction project. We actively lead a project and support the owner from preliminary planning and design through construction and project close-out with a focus on three core priorities: schedule, cost, and quality.

At CHA, our Owner Project Executives are skilled collaborators who are experts at problem solving and adapting and staying calm under pressure. The Project Executive (PX) is a senior manager of a construction project team. They lead the completion of construction projects from initial qualification statements through completion, and their primary responsibilities are winning work, customer relationships, exceeding customer expectations, managing project teams, and developing team members.

The job duties of a PX include evaluating staff, assessing project progress against timelines and budget considerations, preparing regular reports for senior management, and checking in with clients regarding project specifications and their expectations.

The PX leads the client and is their trusted advisor to program, design, and build facilities which meets their needs. The PX coordinates contracts with the client, subcontractors, purchase orders, daily correspondence, and all other project related documents. The PX is responsible for financials and risk management of assigned projects.

The PX is a seller-doer. The individual in this role discovers opportunities, propose teams, develop qualification statements, review proposed fees, attend project interviews, and engages in projects. The PX attends industry events, develops teaming partners, mentors direct reports, and manages project teams and internal staff.

REQUIREMENTS
    Bachelor's Degree in engineering, architecture, science, planning, engineering management or a related degree required;
  • CCM or PMP certification preferred
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience required; a minimum of 12 years of project management experience required in OPM, public construction, life science, or higher education projects
  • Experience preparing proposals, project plans, extra work authorizations and project closeout documents for projects required
  • Experience managing project accounting processes to include project budgeting, forecasts and cash management required
  • Experience understanding and interpreting client contract requirements
  • Ability to track and oversee multiple projects required
  • An articulate and persuasive communicator with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences
  • Experience managing staff to include career development of direct reports
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of MS Project and/or Primavera P6 preferred
  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task effectively
  • A self-starter who excels in a high-paced work environment and work well independently
  • Ability to travel as required
