Overview

Na Ali'i is seeking an Analyst to provide data management and reporting, strategic analysis, metrics management, and knowledge management in support of the Business Development team. This is a new position within the Nakupuna Companies and will report to the Chief Growth Officer, with direction as needed from the Director of Business Development Operations. This role is critical to supporting the ongoing expansion of the Nakupuna Companies through a research and data-driven approach to growth management.

Data and Pipeline Management:

    Ensure all pipeline opportunities are accurately and consistently updated in Salesforce:
  • Extract all relevant funding and period of performance data from contract awards and modifications and enter them into Salesforce.
  • Track and appropriately document all contract funding modifications.
  • Regularly review opportunity win probabilities and total contract values with relevant internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy.
  • Periodically evaluate the full Nakupuna pipeline to assess notable trends and issues, and readily communicate these to leadership.
  • Ideate and propose improvements to Nakupuna data management and metrics development, with an eye towards providing better insights to leadership.
  • Generate as-needed custom reports to assist in projecting BD forecasts.
  • Assist in determining strategies to balance multi-company priorities within the NHO regulations:
  • Track the expected 5-year average revenue considerations for each Nakupuna company.
  • Monitor NAICS code distribution across companies, accounting for Business Activity Targets (BATs) as appropriate.
  • Provide inputs into the Nakupuna government wide acquisition contract (GWAC) strategy, through company eligibility determinations.

Chief Growth Officer Support:

  • Create business development capabilities briefings, tailoring as needed for specific engagements with customers, partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Utilize tools such as GovWin IQ, Bloomberg, FPDS, and others to perform market research, competitive analysis, partner analysis, and customers analysis.
  • Assist as needed across the BD team on critical efforts related to BD opportunities, to include capture, proposal, pricing, communications, etc.
  • Attend meetings and / or industry events and report critical takeaways and resulting actions to be completed.

Director of Business Development Operations Support:

  • Assist in quarterly / yearly BD team budget preparation and tracking.
  • Work across the proposal and capture teams to forecast and track bid and proposal (B&P) resource requirements to support weekly capacity planning meetings.
  • Coordinate with the Nakupuna F&A Team to develop and distribute proper project codes for BD efforts.
  • Perform long term analysis of projected costs to actual costs in the B&P estimations.

BD Team Knowledge Management:

  • Audit BD internal SharePoint sites to ensure that information is high-fidelity, properly located, and that the intended page and folder structure is being followed.
  • Work with Nakupuna project teams to collect useable content such as project write-ups and past performance summaries in formats that support B&P and communications activities.
  • Work with Project Managers and Subject Matter Experts to review and update metadata tagging of all opportunities and active projects in Salesforce to assist in maintenance of our past performance database.
Qualifications

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Experience working in SalesForce and Qlik or other business intelligence platforms, extracting and presenting rich data sets in compelling ways.
  • Ability to research and monitor data via open source and subscription data services such as Deltek GovWin, SAM.com, Symphony, eBuy, etc.
  • Strong usage of all MS Office tools, particularly MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.

Education and Experience: This position requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution as well as at least 3-5 years of professional experience in a analytical role within government consulting

Location: This position is full-time working in the Nakupuna corporate office in Arlington, VA, with flexibility when scheduled with the Chief Growth Officer.

Physical Requirements: In addition to the skills and qualifications mentioned above, candidates must, at a minimum, be able to meet the following physical requirements.

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds

  • Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, and fingers
  • Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to stand, sit, walk, lift, carry, reach, kneel, crouch, bend and climb a step stool/ladder
