Overview

The Laborer is responsible for providing the physical labor required to maintain a project in a proper, efficient, and safe manner.

MasTec's Clean Energy and Infrastructure Group (CE&I) is a $2 billion annual revenue business unit that provides construction services for industrial facilities; building products manufacturers, power generation facilities, manufacturing plants; solar, wind, and thermal energy plants; buildings, and infrastructure.

Location & Travel Details: This is a location-based position encompassing worksites throughout the assigned project area and requires an average of 90% of travel.

Responsibilities
    General Labor including shoveling, raking, unload materials, and housekeeping.
  • Assisting skilled tradesman when required including working with a pipe or concrete crew.
  • Complete tasks in the manner instructed by the project superintendent or foreman.
  • Observe all safety practices as directed by the company, superintendent, foreman, and OSHA.
  • Notify Superintendent of all unsafe practices.
  • Utilize all PPE and report all injuries or potential hazards to the project superintendent or foreman immediately.
  • Use, operate, and maintain all job site equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Participate in daily and weekly safety activities to support the project in positively advancing the work.
  • Report to the assigned project at the scheduled time.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • General understanding of subcontractors' scope of work
  • General expereince working as a Laborer on construction sites.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to perform various physical tasks such as shoveling, hammering, kneeling, lifting, and carrying.
  • Ability to regularly uneven soil conditions.
  • Ability to repeatedly lift/pull/push/30+ pounds.
  • Knowledge of proper lifting techniques, tool/equipment use.
