Overview:

Responsible for scheduling all aspects of patient care, including referrals, procedures, surgeries etc. Responsible for multiple facets of patient financial account services that include patient benefit assessment, insurance verification, pre-certification, pre-authorizations, pre-determination for services, and referral management. Assures that patient information and appropriate documentation is documented and uploaded to EPIC. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year medical/clerical experience involving customer service required.
  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Other (Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities): Proficiency in computers, typing and Microsoft Office. Most possess excellent customer service skills with strong oral and written communication skills. Must have the ability to interact with customers of all ages in a tactful and pleasant manner. Knowledge of medical terminology.
