Job Description

The Manager-Operations will serve as an integral role in assisting Mercy Clinic in developing and implementation of strategic initiatives, as assigned by Clinic Senior Leadership. Responsible for management of a variety of programs and projects, the manager will work closely alongside operational leaders and front line managers to support operations achievement of strategic goals. In addition, the manager will consistently measure targets, success, achievement, etc. Also serve as office manager to administrative suite.

The Manager- Operations position is responsible for:

  • Staffing: Recruitment, onboarding, competency development, performance management, coaching, and professional development.
    • Manages coworker relations, including engagement and conflict management.
    • Operationalizing regulatory requirements in clinic and hospital departments.
  • Performance monitoring: Performance/huddle boards, Epic reporting, and Workques.
    • Serves as a liaison to achieve departmental goals.
    • Performs ongoing assessment, review, and update of departmental procedures to produce high-quality, cost-effective delivery of products and services.
  • Financial Accountability: Invoice coding/approval; Managing expenses and budget variance analysis.
    • Ensures compliance with timely and correct coding and billing for clinic and HOD encounters.
    • Manages staff productivity and appropriate order and use of supplies.
  • Provider support: Scheduling and Epic template management; workflow and process improvement.
    • Communicates and collaborates with providers to achieve productivity, departmental goals, and to meet patient access and demand.

Qualifications:

  • Education: HS or GED. Bachelor's degree, preferred.
  • Experience:3-5 years' experience in healthcare operations.
    • Computer experience and good oral and written communication skills.
    • Computer skills including spreadsheet and database management.
    • Ability to multitask and meet multiple deadlines.
    • Presents a positive, disciplined self-image.
    • Excellent communication skills and high level of professionalism and presence.
    • Strong analytical skills and understanding of business planning.
