The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia is one of the 12 regional Reserve Banks that, together with the Board of Governors in Washington, D.C., make up the Federal Reserve System. You will Direct the activities of the risk management, business continuity, strategy, and project management functions. Participate as a full member of Bank and System work teams. Develop and implement risk management tools, works with departments in performing risk assessments, works with project managers and with operations management on projects and analyses of importance to the Bank. You will report to the Vice President of Strategy, Risk, and Business Continuity.

What You Will Do:

Essential Accountabilities

1. ERM Operations

You will coordinate, oversee, and perform tasks essential to the Bank's Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) function, including reporting to the Bank's Risk Management Council, and managing the Committee of Sponsoring Organizations Coordinator group responsible for internal controls over financial reporting.

You may support System ERM leadership activities and the co-chairs of the System Enterprise Risk Management Committee in the discharge of their responsibilities.

Substitute for the ERM department officer at Bank and System meetings.

2. Business Continuity Operations

Manage the Bank's business continuity program ensuring compliance with Federal Reserve System guidelines and administer the crisis management of the Bank based on its unique circumstances.

3. Strategic Objectives

Coordinate the Bank's strategic planning activities, contribute to the development of the Bank's strategic goals and helps align departmental objectives with the Bank's goals.

Be a leader in high priority initiatives.

4. System Leadership Support

Support the department and Bank by participating on System workgroups, committees, and project teams.

5. Partner Engagement

Address complex customer issues and complaints, ensure all matters are addressed, and recommend an appropriate course of action for most complex issues. Build relationships with important internal customers to create awareness and understanding of policy compliance requirements including justifying business expenses and to better understand their needs.

6. Manages People

Exercise usual authority of manager concerning staffing, terminations, training and development, performance appraisals, salary reviews, and leave.

7. Professional Development

Improve business acumen, partnerships and relationships, and contribution to our culture at all levels; maintain awareness of the Bank's key strategies, risks, and other issues.

Maintain accountability for meeting your professional and personal goals. Keep up on and contribute to developments in your field.

8. Perform Ad Hoc Analysis and Projects

Coordinate, oversee, and perform ad hoc analyses essential to the Bank for cost containment, new business lines, risk management, and Bank operations.

You will be involved in the accomplishment of departmental and Bank-wide quality initiatives.

You will oversee, ERM Specialists, Analysts and Associates

What You Have:

* Bachelor's degree in business or public policy related disciplines or equivalent work experience.

* Supervisory or management experience required.

* Minimum 10 years relevant experience

Knowledge:

* Excellent PC skills, using Bank's standard business software.

* Oral and written communication skills.

* Interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

* Leadership and organization skills.

* Knowledge of the Bank's budget process and Planning and Control System (PACS).

* Understanding of risk management and business continuity concepts and project management disciplines.

The salary grade for this position is: grade 16/17.
