About Us:
Honor Foods is a leading foodservice redistributor, specializing in providing top-quality products to specialty and broadline foodservice distributors. We're expanding into a new product category and need a talented Senior Buyer to lead the way.

Role Summary:
As our Senior Buyer for Protein, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing a business plan for the protein category. You'll analyze the market to gauge the category's success and make adjustments as needed. Your role will involve maximizing sales opportunities through personal visits and calls, developing profitable growth strategies, and building strong supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a business plan for the protein category.
• Analyze the market to gauge category success and adjust strategies as needed.
• Maximize sales opportunities through personal visits and calls.
• Identify and develop strategies for profitable growth.
• Build effective supplier relationships.
• Develop pricing strategies to win contracts and maximize company value.
• Understand profit and loss and basic business accounting.
• Maintain strong product knowledge and selling skills.
• Work closely with internal teams to achieve sales goals and profitability metrics.
• Coordinate product and supply delivery to distribution centers.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 8+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, focusing on fresh protein.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
