General Summary of Position Unit Highlights Nurses on 2C
care for variety of acutely ill medical- surgical and behavioral health adults
and their families. Patients on this
unit are admitted with a variety of diagnoses as well as behavioral health
diagnoses. It is a great unit to gain experience as a medical-surgical nurse
and be exposed to a wide variety of nursing skills and patient populations. The
2C nurses work closely with the hospitalists, psychiatry, medical-surgical
residents, physical/occupational therapists, and social workers with the goal
of providing safe and high- quality care to our patients. Nurses seek to
improve care for medical-surgical and behavioral health patients through
nurse-led, evidence-based principles, tools, and education. Key Responsibilities As a Clinical Nurse you will deliver proficient nursing care to patients and families whose needs range from uncomplicated to highly complex. You will identify current and potential complex problems of specific patient populations and critically analyzes trends and changes in patient status and plans appropriate interventions directly or indirectly through other nurses.
