The Lafayette Group (LGI) is seeking a qualified and highly motivated individual who is dynamic and experienced to work with government organizations to assist with stakeholder engagement, coordination, and support; engagement strategy development; and qualitative analysis. The Lafayette Group (LGI) manages a comprehensive portfolio of U.S. Government programs in the areas of cybersecurity, critical infrastructure security, emergency communications, public safety, and national security.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and use understanding of basic cybersecurity principles to support customers with delivery of cyber services and guidance to stakeholders
Assist with conducting customer and stakeholder analyses by capturing, synthesizing, and summarizing key points from interviews, focus groups, and internal meetings, and translating insights into draft deliverables and products
Draft written work products including briefing decks, project charters, meeting summaries, case studies, strategic plans, talking points, fact sheets, and user guides
Develop presentations to allow clients to communicate complex topics to various audiences
Develop collateral and facilitate client demos, presentations and engagements
Perform qualitative and quantitative research and data gathering to identify key themes, trends, and opportunities from complex information for the implementation of new processes and tools to support operations
Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
Review and provide input and edits to team deliverables
Leverage resourcefulness and research skills to find creative solutions to client problems
Provide meeting planning, facilitation, and logistical support
Required Qualifications:
3-8 years of experience in management consulting
BA or BS degree
Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Excel
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent research, data gathering, analytical, critical thinking, and listening skills
Ability to think conceptually and strategically and learn quickly
Ability to be extremely organized and manage multiple work trackers, as well as keep track of client and stakeholder communications
Ability to meet deadlines, adhere to project plans, ensure any conflicts are brought to the attention of the management team, and multi-task and work on several projects simultaneously across multiple project areas
Ability to be flexible and adaptable; Be comfortable handling last-minute asks, changing priorities or changes in direction
Ability to interact and network effectively with all levels of staff, including senior leadership, both internal and on the client site, as well as manage multiple stakeholders
Ability to obtain a Federal government public trust
Desired Qualifications:
Degree in IT, cybersecurity, or national security field
Work experience consulting in a professional environment (especially government consulting in homeland security, IT, or cybersecurity)
Familiarity with cloud environments/security
Existing TS or Secret clearance or DHS/CISA Suitability
Location: Hybrid: Arlington, VA with preference to being able to operate onsite (LGI offices and client site) twice per month
Federal Contracts: This position involves working on federal contracts that require all workers on the contract to be U.S. Citizens. Additionally, some contracts may require the ability to obtain a security clearance.
Salary Range: $68,000 - $95,000
