ROLE DESCRIPTION

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the Satellite Engineering and Operations (SE&O) team in a fast-paced, growing organization within a dynamic industry for a 3 month internship.


Based in SES' Piney Branch facility, you will contribute to customer support activities by upgrading the customer satellite health reporting process to be fully integrated within the Microsoft suite of applications using MS Teams, MS SharePoint and MS Outlook. Developing an automated system to linking satellite health information, contractual reporting requirements, internal legal review, customer report generation and distribution. Supporting the establishment of relevant customer databases, points of contact and system tools necessary to achieve easy maintenance as the SES combined satellite fleet evolves in the future. The role will interface across the organization within satellite engineering & operations, IT, legal and sales teams.

Your responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Work together with the SE&O team in developing, establishing and validating the improved customer health reporting process.
  • Assist in developing necessary data files, interface requirements and data flows.
  • Create and maintain necessary databases and KPI dashboards.
  • Provide other ad-hoc support for various internal stakeholders from corporate functions and Networks business unit.

YOUR PROFILE

1. You must have

  • Current student in Information Technology, Engineering or in a relevant area;
  • Very strong computer literacy (Microsoft Applications and Tools);
  • Fluency in spoken and written English;
  • Able to work in United States (US-citizenship or valid work permit if required).

2. It would be nice if you had

  • Strong knowledge of MS Teams, MS SharePoint and MS Outlook and/or other data collaboration software considered a big plus.
  • Experience with PowerBi/Dashboards
  • Strong interest in the global technology, media, and telecom business and satellite communications in particular
  • Additional languages considered an asset.
