WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING AS A REGIONAL PROPERTY MANAGER

  • Oversight of the annual budget(s) for the assigned portfolio; oversee attainment of budgeted goals by analyzing and evaluating financial statements, reconciling monthly statements against approved budget, and working with ownership to proactively address and resolve gaps in financial performance.
  • Ensure the individual communities meet the established operational, financial, and business performance goals by inspecting properties, reviewing financial, market, and operational reports.
  • Develop and execute SMART action plans to improve portfolio revenue and minimize controllable expenses; ensure annual property budgets are set appropriately by Community Managers; provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Direct, challenge, and motivate Community Managers to run high-performing properties, helping Related provide affordable housing to eligible individuals and families.
  • Hire, train, develop, and manage direct reports to maximize performance through creating an engaging, inclusive, diverse growth and learning culture throughout portfolio.
  • Ensure talent management best practices throughout portfolio, with focus on internal growth and strengthening talent bench.
  • Lead consistent communication throughout region to align business goals and partner with property support teams (e.g., Compliance, HR, Facilities) to address concerns, and for assistance as needed, to advance the portfolio.
  • Ensure portfolio meets RMC's property maintenance expectations; propose capital improvements as needed to maximize asset value.
  • Support Regional Compliance team in responding to government and regulatory agency requests; attend property audits and liaise with agencies as needed; ensure portfolio meets all compliance standards.
  • Review, analyze, and interpret market data to identify emerging trends that may impact the performance of the portfolio, and work with the onsite teams to develop and implement market plans that drive occupancy and revenue growth.

Compensation:

  • $115,000 - $135,000 / annualy
  • Plus annual bonus that is tied to performance

Qualifications

  • You have at least 5 years managing a portfolio of multifamily assets.
  • You know the market and have extensive experience within the Dallas region with a strong network of local associations and vendors.
  • You are a goal-oriented leader who demonstrates genuine care and concern for your team, clients, and residents.
  • You are able to travel as needed and respond to off-hour emergencies.
  • You are very financial savvy and know how to read operating statements and budgets.
  • You are committed to the mission of exceeding expectations and providing exceptional service to strengthen real estate value.
  • You bring it every day and possess a readiness to execute on whatever task is thrown your way with a combination of hard work, grit, and perseverance.
  • You work in solidarity with your teammates and express gratitude to those around you.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
