The Parts Counter / Sales is responsible for managing the purchasing, pricing and issuing of parts and supplies for Parts & Service Department.

Requirements:

· Experience in the auto/trucking repair/dealership service or parts industry preferred as is hands on mechanical equipment repair experience.

· At least 2 years of experience in parts industry

· Working knowledge of product pricing methodologies, a plus

· Requires a working knowledge of proper inventory controls.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities.

1. Assist the service department to schedule process estimates, for upcoming scheduled service work and expedite any needed parts currently not maintained in inventory, to ensure availability for scheduled work.

2. Shared responsibilities for part inventories to maintain sufficient stock and to ensure proper part setup and cross-referencing is being performed to avoid duplicate part numbers or excess inventory.

3. Serve as a resource for warranty and technical matters related to parts.

4. Maintaining strong customer relations.

5. Upselling products and services.

6. Researching and qualifying new leads.

7. Closing sales and achieving sales targets.

8. Work harmoniously with all other departments to accomplish organizational goals

9. Create, review, monitor, and complete counter and work order parts

10. Enters new parts, cost and parts pricing into the system.

11. Keep appearance and organization of parts department.

12. Shared responsibility for inventory count differences by locating product or detecting errors in records.

13. Assist with collection of past due accounts.

14. Comply and stay current with all company policies, procedures, safety program, and all local, state and federal laws.

15. Complete Special Projects as assigned.

16. Other duties as assigned or requested by Manager
