Job Summary

TYLin | Greeley and Hansen seeks a Wastewater Process Engineer to join our dynamic Design Center team. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing wastewater treatment processes to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and promote sustainability. Experience with wastewater treatment plant simulation software, including GPS-X and/or BioWin, is required.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct detailed analyses of wastewater treatment systems to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Prepare detailed engineering plans and specifications for wastewater projects.
  • Design and develop wastewater treatment systems, including the selection and sizing of equipment, calculations, and process modelling.
  • Design and implement innovative solutions to enhance wastewater treatment processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of new technologies and processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues related to wastewater treatment processes for various clients.
  • Participate in assignments as a member of a team, sometimes in a lead role in particular areas of expertise, including peer mentorship of design and consulting staff.
  • Presentation of project deliverables to clients.
  • Supervise, delegate, direct, coach, and mentor junior technical staff.
  • Assist with development of qualification packages and proposals.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: B.S. in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field is required. MS. Degree preferred.
  • 5+years of relevant experience in wastewater process engineering and or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or education;
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, permitting processes, and wastewater treatment processes.
  • Experience with process modeling software and data analysis tools is a required.
  • Certifications, Licenses: Professional Engineering (PE) licensure and ability to become licensed in other states is preferred.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and technical writing skills with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence.
