Salary:$55,000 + benefits
Our client, a well-established professional services firm in downtown Birmingham, is looking for an E-billing Specialist. This candidate will be responsible for processing a high volume of professional service invoices, setting up clients, and invoicing as it relates to billable hours and project cost.
*This position offers a hybrid remote schedule, with the option to work 2 to 3 days a week remotely (once trained).
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the matter setup, rates, billing requirements (including eBilling, as appropriate), and client-required reporting is correct
- Work directly with assigned attorneys managing all aspects of billing, and monitoring unbilled and accounts receivable balances
- Responsible for the setup and prebill review, as well as coordinating billing and following up with clients to check on payment progress/eBill status
- Contact new clients, with approval from the responsible partner, to pro-actively manage billing setups
- Work with accounting team to ensure accurate month-end close

Requirements:
- 5+ years of billing experience with a law firm, accounting firm or related industry
- Electronic billing (e-billing) experience is strongly preferred
- High school diploma required, Associate's or Bachelor's degree a plus
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to develop internal relationships with staff and attorneys at all levels within the organization

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:
- the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure.
