E-BILLING Specialist - Industry experience required
Location:Birmingham, Alabama *HYBRID
Salary:$55,000 + benefits

Our client, a well-established professional services firm in downtown Birmingham, is looking for an E-billing Specialist. This candidate will be responsible for processing a high volume of professional service invoices, setting up clients, and invoicing as it relates to billable hours and project cost.

*This position offers a hybrid remote schedule, with the option to work 2 to 3 days a week remotely (once trained).

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the matter setup, rates, billing requirements (including eBilling, as appropriate), and client-required reporting is correct
  • Work directly with assigned attorneys managing all aspects of billing, and monitoring unbilled and accounts receivable balances
  • Responsible for the setup and prebill review, as well as coordinating billing and following up with clients to check on payment progress/eBill status
  • Contact new clients, with approval from the responsible partner, to pro-actively manage billing setups
  • Work with accounting team to ensure accurate month-end close

Due to the specific nature of this role, we can only consider candidates who have the required qualifications.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of billing experience with a law firm, accounting firm or related industry
  • Electronic billing (e-billing) experience is strongly preferred
  • High school diploma required, Associate's or Bachelor's degree a plus
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to develop internal relationships with staff and attorneys at all levels within the organization
