Job Description

This position will direct and develop the Hostling and Operations Coordinator teams.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Strategic planing and tactical execution of approved plans to enhance profitability, productivity, and efficiency throughout the company's operations.
  • Develops and directs management of the company's Hostling and Operations Coordinator teams that will ensure fast order processing, accurate inventory control, proper and timely receipt/stocking of goods, cost-efficient shipping, and effective processing of returns.
  • Manages human resources and systems related to warehouse and inventory control.
  • Implements improved processes and management methods to generate higher ROI and workflow optimization.
  • Coordinates container movement and transfers.
  • Manages Operations Coordinator team responsible for communicating with internal customers and outside suppliers.
  • Develops and directs the management of the Port Driver/Hostler operations, including but not limited to assignment of routes and overseeing time management and safe driving compliance.
  • Interacts regularly with the warehouse teams, and individual department heads to ensure that company's operation priorities are aligned with total company direction.
  • Continually investigates and introduces process improvement measures and presents suggestions for consideration.
  • Responsible for inventory control, returns, damages, product holds, credits, and FIFO.
  • Manages the inventory database.

Job Requirements

  • Must have a High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Minimum five years of related experience in distribution environment.
  • Clean driving record, no SR22 insurance.
  • Copies of your CDL (MUST have CDL A) and DMV record are required prior to start.
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal.
  • Beverage experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Sharepoint
  • Good customer relations skills.
  • Demonstrated technical, planning, interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), conflict resolution and/or mediation skills.
  • Proven experience in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
  • Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments to promote collaboration and to foster a cooperative work environment.
  • Ability to plan, develop, and coordinate multiple projects related to facilities and personnel.
  • Experience in budget preparation and fiscal management.
  • Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization and the general public.
