Title: Sr. Systems Engineer
Duration: 7+ Months(Possibility of Extension)
Location: 100% Remote

Description
Senior IT Systems Engineers are responsible for monitoring, installation, configuration, administration, troubleshooting and maintenance of technology solutions. Senior IT Systems Engineer's provide technical support and troubleshoot problems and perform scripting/programming to ensure stable and efficient operation of technology solutions. Senior IT Systems Engineers drive and implement automation enhancements and process improvement efforts, are assigned to multiple complex systems/applications. They lead initiatives, oversee work results, provide training and serve as a technical resource for other Systems Engineers.

Essential functions:
* Installation, monitoring, testing, troubleshooting, and administration of the ACAS/Nessus Vulnerability Scanner applications
* Provide technical support to customers involving a wide range of software, hardware, and DoD specific applications with respect to the ACAS solution
* Analyze and assist in the application of (STIGs) and (IAVAs)
* Ensure scheduled scans are covering 100% of intended assets and are being run successfully
* Understand how to run scans and create reports within Tenable Security Center.
* Configure, optimize, and test vulnerability scans against new and existing Operating Systems and platforms
* Perform ACAS Vulnerability scans utilizing Tenable Security Center and Nessus Manager w/deployed Nessus Agents.
* Perform scan policy analysis & configuration to determine the impact of vulnerability scanning against target devices
* Troubleshoot credential failure issues by performing configuration analysis against the target device
* Conduct vulnerability analysis, research, collaborate with System Administrators to mitigate identified vulnerabilities and/or author Plans of Actions and Milestones (PO&AM) as needed
*Ensures execution and alignment to architectural standards and blueprints.
*Contribute input to infrastructure architecture
*Performs on-call activities as needed for the environment and technologies

Requirements:
* Experience with maintaining, optimizing, and troubleshooting the Tenable solution currently deployed in a UNIX environment, including Tenable Security Center, Tenable Vulnerability Management, NNM, LCE, Nessus Manager, Agents, and Scanners
* Experience with deploying, configuring, and maintaining Nessus agents in an enterprise environment, including the application of best practices for schedules and integration with Tenable Security Center
* Experience with supporting upgrades of Tenable Security Center, Nessus Manager, Nessus scanners, LCE, and PVS
* Experience with performing security compliance and vulnerability assessments specifically developing and applying STIG or CIS baselines for various operating systems, including Windows or RHEL and CentOS
* Experience with configuring authentication methods, including PIV, SAML, and LDAP, and development of role-based access controls (RBAC)
* Experience with performing enterprise-wide networking scanning, agent scan, container, including a credential scan of UNIX, Windows, Network devices, and VMware
* Ability to provide design and architectural guidance for tool capabilities during technical stakeholder meetings
* Ability to prepare and maintain solution documentation, including security, configuration, and CONOPS
* Experience with scripting Python/Partio

Required Experience:
5-8 years of related work experience or equivalent combination of transferable experience demonstrating proficiency and experience in design, implementation, monitoring and troubleshooting technology

Required Education:
Related Bachelor's degree in an IT related field or relevant work experience
