Objective

Responsible for the administration and servicing of more complex construction loans from initial set up to full repayment. Reviews and interprets legal documents in accordance with the approved terms. Responsible for initial documentation, input and processes periodic disbursement requests and repayment receipts.

Responsibilities/Duties
    Partner with the Real Estate Finance, "REF" Operations Unit, REF Risk Manager & REF Relationship Managers to establish new Construction loans and request loan numbers.
  • Create construction loan disbursement files in accordance with existing processes and procedures.
  • Enter all disbursements on the construction loan platform; review/monitor agreements and/or lease achievements on the construction loan.
  • Coordinate actual funding with Loan Operations at closing and for all subsequent draws.
  • Sets up loan budget, reviews data input for accuracy and assures that new loan set up line-item budgets are in accordance with approval. Understands and implements required primary and subaccount data entry input. Reviews essential documentation ensuring that original executed note is received prior to funding.
  • Assure receipt and approval of inspection and title bring down reports for all requests. Schedule all disbursements transactions and inputs request into the construction loan system. Prepares and presents disbursement documentation from the system, monitors, and balances disbursement report.
  • Maintain and ensure letters of credit are aligned for certain escrow accounts.
  • Must be able to read and interpret legal documents.
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients. Responds to general inquiries on loan status.
  • Alerts management to processes and procedural changes concerning the daily, monthly, and continuing responsibilities associated with managing and controlling Construction loan information interfaced with bank wide Accounting and Finance systems for the Construction Loan System used by the Loan Operations Accountant, Lending Staff, and this position.
  • Assists in the development of new business for Firstrust. Is alert to expressed customer/prospect needs to suggest appropriate services. Directs customers to appropriate person to establish business relationships.

Essential Functions
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Knowledge - Skills & Abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
  • Two or more years of experience in construction loan servicing or a commercial loan servicing role.
  • Knowledge and understanding of commercial escrow accounts along with letters of credit / township releases
  • Knowledge of transaction data entry and understanding of debits/credits as well as proofing and balancing accounts.
  • Intermediate computing skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Exceptional customer service and strong ability to resolve customer problems
