The Position

Hillsboro Technical Operations (HTO) is a drug product & finished goods manufacturing organization responsible for the reliable delivery of Roche's commercial portfolio & pipeline products. The Operations organization at HTO is divided into 2 value streams, which combine to produce millions of units of life-saving medicine every year to patients around the world.

The Opportunity:

As the Senior MRO Parts Technician, you will contribute to the execution of the Spare Parts Program at HTO. This includes the receipt, storage, inventory control, allocation & kitting of critical spare parts, as well as all data management associated with these activities. You will work closely with a small team of MRO professionals and more broadly with a cross-functional group of suppliers & customers, both inside & outside of the site.

  • You will maintain inventory of critical parts and consumable materials in support of Genentech's Hillsboro Oregon Fill Finish facility, utilizing industry standard inventory control practices.

  • You will utilize a computerized inventory control system to identify and track MRO parts and materials.

  • You will create/maintain MRO material masters and equipment BOMs (Bill of Materials)

  • Maintain MRO data integrity by performing data corrections and updates as required.

  • Review and upload parts lists and procurement data for new equipment from project teams into spares analysis tools.

  • You will perform goods receipts and receipt inspections (if required) against purchase orders.

  • You will assist with the parts kitting program for PM based activities.

  • You will assist mechanics and technicians with identifying and acquiring parts, materials and resources. Activities may include contacting suppliers to obtain quotes, technical information and general parts information.

  • You will assist with obtaining information and preparation of document packages for fit, form and function (Like for Like) assessments. Assist with the facilitation of MRO LFL assessments within the change control system.

Who you are:

  • You have a minimum of a high school diploma (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred) and a minimum of 3 years applicable experience working in a facilities related job in an industrial setting (preferably in a GMP setting).

  • You have experience working in a MRO storeroom, parts distribution warehouse or similar function as it relates to managing spare parts, materials and components.

  • You are proficient with an ERP system (SAP experience preferred) with an emphasis on master data management for materials and components.

  • You have an understanding of computer applications such as spreadsheets, word processing and database management.

  • You are able to identify industrial machinery components (pumps, motors, belts, bearings, gaskets, valves, etc.).

  • You have good customer service skills emphasizing the ability to interact with people of different backgrounds and skill levels.

  • You are able to work overtime or temporarily modify shift schedules to support as needed.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location for this position of Hillsboro, Oregon is $57,000 - $106,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, level, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
