Job Summary

This is a laboratory-based research position focusing on pathways that link metabolism to neural mechanisms that regulate feeding behavior and learning and memory. We are specifically interested in the role of steroid hormones in this process. In this research, we heavily utilize molecular genetics, imaging, behavioral assays in C. elegans, pharmacology, and biochemistry. This research is important as it has the potential of unravel basic mechanisms that regulate learning and memory and potentially therapeutic strategies for conditions such as aging and neurodegeneration that are characterized by declines in learning and memory capacity.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
