Job Description

Job Summary

The Senior Operations Analyst for AITX will develop and analyze various business reporting and metrics to support the Operations team as well as inter-department reporting for a fleet of over 90,000 rail assets. Own and manage underlying data sources for consistent and accurate reporting. Manage projects related to remarking and maintenance. Drive process improvements within and across functions.

Job Duties

  • Provide monthly Vendor reporting including shop cycle times
  • Provide analysis on actual maintenance costs vs. plan
  • Provide reporting on Regulatory items including Tank Qualifications
  • Work with Finance, sales to provide monthly inter-department metrics
  • Work with IT to build dashboards for key business metrics
  • Collaborate with various departments on streamlining entry/updates to key mechanical data elements
  • Manage auditing and approval of various vendor invoices
  • Manage remarking projects related to Asset acquisitions

Experience

  • Strong MS Excel skills
  • Data Analytics & Problem-Solving
  • Communication - ability to communicate clearly (written and oral) with all levels of the organization
  • Leasing / Rail background preferred but not required.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree (Engineering or Business related major preferred) and/or relevant experience in the Rail industry
