Description

Silvercrest Senior Residences serve to fill a critical need for housing for low-income seniors. Residents pay only thirty percent of their income for housing, and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) pays the difference. These apartment-style communities range in size from 22 to 257 units. The units are equipped with a private kitchen and comfortable living quarters, which encourage independent living.

Job: Front Desk Clerk

Status: Full-Time

Salary Range: $18.00-$20.00 per hour.

Location: Santa Rosa , CA at our Santa Rosa Silvercrest location

Primary Responsibilities and Tasks

    • Monitor door and greet residents, guests, vendors, emergency services and delivery drivers.
    • In cases of emergency, provide light maintenance or custodial service or contact on-call staff, vendors or emergency services as necessary.
    • Fulfill after-hour on-call duties, including completion of Incident Reports utilizing proper spelling/grammar.
    • Monitor entries and review camera footage and help prevent unauthorized persons from entering building.
    • Receive applications from prospective residents and explain eligibility requirements. Keep application packets accurate and up to date.
    • Assist management team with processing applications for occupancy in accordance with HUD and Fair Housing regulations.
    • Process and organize requests for maintenance work orders from residents according to established maintenance policies including utilization of OneSite Facilities software program.
    • Assist management team with administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, filing, answering phones, and mailing.
    • Provide records and reports as required by supervisor in an accurate and timely fashion.
    • Comply with Silvercrest Operating Procedures Manual and Salvation Army policies.
    • Represent The Salvation Army in a positive and professional manner by maintaining positive relationships with Silvercrest residents, vendors and TSA staff.
    • Perform other duties as requested by Supervisor.

Qualifications

Experience
Bilingual in Mandarin/ Cantonese or Spanish a plus (preferred)
1-2 years experience in an office environment (preferred)
High School diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Basic math and spelling skills (preferred)
PC literacy is required including Word, Excel, and Outlook (preferred)
Interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. (preferred)
Analytical skills in order to gather and summarize data for reports, find solutions to various administrative problems, and prioritize work. (preferred)
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision (preferred)
Knowledge of secretarial, office administrative procedures, and knowledge of use and operation of standard office equipment. (preferred)
Strong organizational skills and problem-solving skills (preferred)
Ability to communicate professionally and accurately, both verbally and in writing. (preferred)
