Duration: 12+ months with possibility of CTH
Shift Timing (Day/ Evening/ Night): 1st Shift (Mon-Fri)

Job Description:
  • Duties include assembly, disassembly, re-assembly, fabrication, screen, repair, adjustment, test and/or verification of complex electronic, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and structural systems in accordance with common military, commercial, and aerospace specifications.
  • Typical systems include avionics, missiles, weapons controls, aircraft armament, bomb racks, launchers, and associated equipment. Electrical duties may include, but are not limited to, removal and installation of components, connectors, and wiring into cabinets, chassis, and console type assemblies.
  • Mechanical duties include, but are not limited to, removal, installation, and adjustment of mechanical parts to precise tolerances.
  • Structural duties may include, but are not limited to, light machining, sheet-metal work, drilling, riveting, and airframe repairs.
Required Skills:
  • High School degree or GED equivalent.
  • Must be able to perform duties using pneumatic tools, electric tools, hand tools, and precision measuring equipment.
  • May perform informal, in-process checks on manufactured or processed items to assist authorized formal inspection and/or test personnel in determining product validation or assist other related job classifications when directed.
  • Must be able to read, interpret and analyze engineering drawings, production planning and other technical documents, as well as possess extensive knowledge of the varied and complex electronic, electromechanical and/or optical equipment/system(s) involved.
  • Requires bending, reaching, and lifting of objects within Vertex EHS guidelines.
  • Skill set and experience with performing mechanically inclined and disassembly work a high priority. Mechanical aptitude is a must. Automotive, aircraft, biomedical, or racing industry are all industry areas that align with the required experience. Submitted candidates will be required to drill, bolt, cut metal, splice wires, and vehicle modification.
