Summary:

The Communications and Electronic Navigation (Training Developer) will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and delivering training programs and materials focused on communications systems and electronic navigation technologies. Leveraging their expertise in these areas, the Training Developer will collaborate with subject matter experts and instructional designers to create engaging and effective learning experiences for our target audience.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

    Design and develop training curriculum and materials for courses related to communications systems and electronic navigation technologies.
  • Develop engaging and interactive training content, including e-learning modules, simulations, videos, and assessments. Ensure that content aligns with industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Responsible for all C4ISR and electronic navigation instruction for MOSs' 88K10 thru 88K40 and for Warrant Officer 880A1/880A2.
  • Shall be able to utilize all tactical C4ISR systems on watercraft to include terrestrial and Satellite-based Military and commercial VSAT to support both voice and data.
  • Shall provide all C4ISR and electronic navigation instruction for MOSs' 88K10 thru 88K40 and for Warrant Officer 880A1/880A2.
  • utilize and instruct Joint Capabilities Release Logistics (JCR-Log), Electronic Chart Display and Information System (ECDIS), Marine Radar and Global Maritime Distress and Safety Systems (GMDSS) communication and navigation systems.
  • Conduct C4ISR simulator operations, ECDIS operations, Marine Radar operations and associated vessel bridge systems, such as Global Positioning Systems (GPS) and Automated Information for Ships (AIS).
  • Use the Army Learning Policy and Systems that manage, analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate (ADDIE) learning products for all three domains of Army learning as described by AR 350-1, Army Training and Leader Development.
  • Stay abreast of advancements and trends in communications and electronic navigation technologies. Work closely with subject matter experts to ensure the accuracy and relevance of training content.
Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Shall have a full understanding of Communications Security (COMSEC) procedures to include handling, storage and loading of COMSEC keys and equipment.
  • shall have instructional knowledge of the AN/PSN-13 Defense Advanced GPS Receiver (DAGR)/identify Friend or Foe (IFF) Transponder, AN-VRC 103/Harris 117G Radio System, Simple Key Loader (SKL)/AN/PYQ-10, Secure Telephone Equipment (STE), and Next Generation Network (NGN) consisting of: COP Workstation (laptop), Unclassified computer Work station, Classified and Unclassified Printer, lntellian v100PM Ku-Band Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) and lntellian FB500 L-Band Fleet Broadband Satellite system.
  • Training on these simulators is provided to all maritime personnel and supports various courses/blocks of instruction; therefore, the Contractor must have the knowledge and ability to teach the course material as required and interpret the students' performance in the various tasks.
  • Proficient with MS Office computer programs and SharePoint and ensure the ability to access all required training tools and databases.
  • Knowledgeable of all applicable regulations and doctrine regarding military training.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of related experience.
  • Proven experience in training development, instructional design, or a related role, with a focus on communications systems and electronic navigation.
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certifications in relevant areas (e.g., Certified Technical Trainer, Certified Instructional Designer) are a plus.
