As part of the finance team and reporting directly to the Director of Finance, the Sr. Financial Analyst will oversee all purchasing and processing of travel and entertainment reimbursements within the program's centralized units; supports academic units on any purchasing and reimbursement needs. The incumbent will assist in processing necessary financial transactions including error corrections, recharges, intercampus transfers, budgetary transfers; Process accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as well as assist with vendor onboarding for Public Health centralized units. Provide trainings on financial updates to faculty and staff. Review and reconcile general ledgers and payroll ledgers; assist with payroll correction transactions as needed. Assist in fiscal close procedures. Represent as point of contact for processing of purchases and reimbursements for campus affiliated programs including UROP, CORCL, and Public Health's student groups. The individual should be highly organized and a team player, able to understand complex budgets and create solutions and processes to increase efficiencies. This is a hybrid position (on-site/remote schedule).

The expected pay range for this recruitment is $73,900.00 - $103,800.00 (Annual Salary). The Full Salary Range for the salary grade this position is assigned to is $73,900.00 - $133,700.00 (Annual Salary).

Required:
  • 5-7 years
  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
  • Thorough knowledge of finance policies, practices, and systems.
  • Ability to independently gather required information to organize and perform financial analysis assignments.
  • Proven ability to effectively present information verbally and in writing in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proven ability using spreadsheet and database software for complex financial analysis, fiscal management, and financial reports.
  • Proven interpersonal skills with peers throughout the organization; strong service orientation and critical thinking skills; and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability using organizational skills to multi-task in a high-volume environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities. Ability to function as a member of a team.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of internal control practices and their impact on protecting University resources.
