As a Water and Sanitary Construction Manager for projects involving the construction of water and sewer projects that may include new facilities or retrofit construction. All levels of experience will be considered.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Specific experience in the Design or construction of water and wastewater system components including treatment facilities, collection, distribution, or storage projects.

• Experience working with municipalities to deliver projects during the construction phase.

• General knowledge of water treatment processes, hydraulics, and mechanical systems.

• Ability to read, review and understand and implement contract documents.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Knowledge and experience with water and sewer line construction techniques and practices.
• Knowledge and experience with local and State laws governing the installation of water and sewer lines.
• Thorough knowledge of necessary safety practices and techniques.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with citizens, associates, land developers and contractors.
• Experience with inspection and materials testing related to civil infrastructure construction.
• Must be able to pass a criminal history background verification.

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelors' degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.

• 10+ years' experience in the field of Engineering, Design and Construction.

• Must be able to communicate effectively both written and verbally.

Physical Demands

The incumbent in this position can typically expect to sit and use his/her hands to handle and feel for more than 1/3 of the day. He/she can expect to stand or walk for more than 2/3 of the day. Talking and listening are also expected for more than 2/3 of the day. The ability to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, or reach with arms will be needed for less than 2/3 of the day.

This position requires that the incumbent be able to lift items up to 70 pounds on an infrequent basis.

The incumbent in this position should have clear vision at 20 inches or less. He/she should be able to view various reports and forms as well as information displayed on a computer monitor and have the ability to distinguish between different colors. Depth perception, peripheral vision, the ability to focus, and the ability to see from a distance are also necessary.
