Job Description
Responsible for evaluation, market research, due diligence, and providing recommendations for expanding the treaty casualty line of business in assumed reinsurance. Provides the analysis and assessment for product development, pricing tools and account development with intermediaries and carriers. Manages overall results for the portfolio developed, maintains productive working relationships with producers, and provides ongoing evaluation of legal environments and claim trends in supported jurisdictions.

Position Compensation Range:

$144,000.00 - $245,000.00

Primary Accountabilities
*Research and evaluate the legal environment for casualty lines.
*Research claim trends, rates, and classes.
*Provide recommendations for further developing the casualty line of business and identify target opportunities based on the risk appetite.
*Foster positive business relationships with brokers, underwriters, and other stakeholders through frequent contact and communication of our target market, risk appetite and direction on return thresholds. Develops and maintains good rapport; and resolves broker and internal channel conflicts as needed.
*Suggest and review new tools and frameworks to establish new business pricing tools and process.
*Drives product development, marketing, communications, and training needed for future profit and growth opportunities.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements
*Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service
*Demonstrated treaty reinsurance underwriting experience using reinsurance underwriting and pricing tools to assess, quantify and mitigate complex risks.
*Solid knowledge and understanding of complex insurance and reinsurance structures.
*Solid knowledge and understanding of insurance and reinsurance industries, their markets, competitors, regulatory constraints, judicial climate and consumer activism.
*Demonstrated extensive experience developing relationships with brokers and clients.
*Extensive knowledge and understanding of casualty products, pricing, rates and industry trends.
*Extensive knowledge, understanding and demonstrated experience performing statistical/actuarial analysis and data forecasting and modeling techniques.
