CEC Entertainment, the global leader in family entertainment and operator of Chuck E. Cheese and Peter Piper restaurants, is seeking a Specialist, Public Relations and Corporate Communications to join our team. This position is based at our Corporate Support Center in Irving, TX and will report directly to the Department Head Alejandra Brady.

Essential Functions of the Position:

  • Develop, manage, and pitch media that results in media coverage for all functions of the enterprise.
  • Support communications team with needs including logistics, writing content, budgeting, and vendor management.
  • Support Internal Corporate Communications, including writing and editing monthly newsletters and internal announcements across various departmental communications, and support DEI Council Communications efforts.
  • Must maintain a high-level understanding of industry trends affecting the company and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them.
  • Involved in corporate public/community relations programs.
  • Support award submissions for the company as well as senior or leadership awards nationally and locally.
  • Manage Fan mail and support long-term planning campaigns for internal and external audiences.
  • Represent the CEC brand in thought, word, and deed at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field required.
  • 5+ years of PR experience with a proven track record in a fast-paced environment required.
  • Consumer experience a plus. * Experience with crisis communications for a highly visible, consumer-facing brand is required.
  • Project management skills - ability to run programs and manage timelines
  • Ability to proactively identify communications opportunities and develop supporting programs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including expertise in AP style.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Physical Demands:

To perform the duties of this position, the incumbent must have the ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, twist, reach, and carry, lift, pull, push between 1 - 25 lbs. Incumbent must use a computer, with the repetitive movement of both hands. Incumbent must be able to work an 8-hour shift, with some overtime. Incumbent must also be available to travel to various locations by airplane or by operating a vehicle if needed.
