The Applied Sciences and AI group at Abiomed is dedicated to developing the next generation of critical care products. As the Senior Software Engineer , you will play a crucial role in developing a next generation platform. Key responsibilities and required qualifications are as below.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and develop software solutions for next generation medical device products.

* Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software applications and services using Linux, microservices architecture.

* Work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines and deliverables.

* Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical meetings to ensure best practices and high standards of software engineering.

* Troubleshoot and resolve software issues in a timely manner, ensuring the reliability and performance of the software products.

* Bridge/Integrate data from connected platforms and healthcare systems.

* Implement pre-built machine learning algorithms.

* Implement interactive visuals/UIs to summarize medical data.

* Produce relevant technical and project documentation.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Biomedical Sciences or Engineering, or a related discipline

* Minimum of 5+ years of related software development experience

* Proven experience in full stack software development, with expertise in Linux and/or WSL development environments and microservices architecture.

* Experience designing and implementing applications for connected platforms

* Experience working with relational and non-relational databases

* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively

* Strong organizational skills and strong communicator who can work across disciplines and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

* Ability to showcase past projects

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with data analytics

* Experience integrating data on electronic health systems (Experience with HL7, Mirth or similar)

* Experience in Elixir language

* Experience in Angular/typescript

* Experience of working with medical devices

* Experience with continuous integration and deployment tools

* Experience with cloud services (Azure or AWS preferred)

* Experience with Agile Scrum methodology
