You Will:
Assist senior engineers in designing, developing, and executing test plans for VEIR prototypes.
Build, assemble, and operate complex laboratory test setups, including mechanical and electrical systems.
Conduct rigorous testing procedures and troubleshoot technical problems with guidance from senior engineers.
Analyze test data and contribute to the documentation of findings and recommendations.
Maintain a safe and organized laboratory environment.
Gain exposure to various software tools commonly used in test engineering (potential examples: data acquisition software, LabVIEW).
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Prior experience in a laboratory or research environment (internships or research projects a plus).
Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals (mechanics, electricity).
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team.
A keen interest in learning and growing within the field of engineering.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cryogenic or high-pressure fluid systems.
Experience with data acquisition systems and basic instrumentation (oscilloscopes, sensors, etc.).
Experience with basic fabrication methods (e.g., lite machining, soldering, etc.).
Programming experience (e.g., Python, MATLAB).
Expected Outcomes in 12 Months:
3 months: Gain a solid understanding of VEIR's technology and core functionalities.
12 months: Demonstrate the ability to independently execute test procedures, analyze data, and contribute to the development of future prototypes. This role will serve as a springboard for future opportunities within VEIR's engineering team.
