Job Title: Developer II

Location: Reston, VA (Remote)

Clearance Level: Not required to start. (Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.)

Salary Range: $45,500 - $68,250
SUMMARY
Candidate will be working on an in-house developed tool and other innovation solutions.
The candidate shall serve as a Full Stack Software Developer specializing in the development and maintenance of a web application with a significant focus on backend functionalities, API integrations, and automation tools. The stack is composed of FastAPI, React, PostgreSQL, and Ansible tooling and the candidate will be expected to leverage these tools to contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle.


JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Extend and maintain web application
* Contribute to project automation (Ansible, CI/CD)
* Interact with customers and product owners to resolve issues

QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Background, and Years of Experience
* B.S. in Computer Science or associated degree
* Minimum 2 years exposure to Full Stack Development
* Minimum 1 year exposure to Ansible (or similar automation tools)
* Familiarity of relational databases
* Familiarity with CI/CD concepts
* Awareness / exposure to DoD STIGs

ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Required Skills
* Good verbal communications skills
* Willingness to explore new technologies
* Enjoy automating tasks to simplify and streamline processes
* Knowledge of scripting
* Strong experience working as part of a team collaborating on problem resolution
* Willingness to wear multiple hats and contribute across the project.

Preferred Skills
* Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform
* Python
* PostgreSQL (or other relational databases)
* React
* Virtual Platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix)
* Cloud Platforms (AWS/Azure)
* Bash
* CI/CD Tools and Concepts
Desired Certifications:
* DoD 8570 IAT Level II
* RHCA Track or RHCE (EX294, EX374, EX467, etc.)
* AWS Solutions Architect or Developer certification

WORKING CONDITIONS

Environmental Conditions
* Possible off-hours work to support releases and customers.
* Possible off-hours work to support teammates in different time zones.

Strength Demands
* Sedentary - 10 lbs. Maximum lifting, occasional lift/carry of small articles. Some occasional walking or standing may be required. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
