Job Description

The Senior Business Support Specialist plays a key role in assisting Advancement leadership and staff, including front-line fundraising staff and units, to achieve philanthropic success for the University. This position is instrumental in driving the University toward revenue by supporting fundraising goals with accurate and timely reports while maintaining data integrity in the donor database/CRM.

Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and produce detailed and accurate reports from the donor database/CRM for Advancement and University leadership that enhance data-driven decision-making about donor prospects to build affinity and move them toward philanthropic giving.
* Generate profiles on major donor prospects for meetings with University and Advancement leadership.
* Manage and maintain the donor database/CRM, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
* Conduct regular data audits to identify and correct inaccuracies or inconsistencies.
* Created and designed "how-to" instruction guides for Advancement staff regarding data entry requirements.
* Update instructional materials as needed to reflect changes in data entry procedures or donor engagement strategies.
* Maintain a data glossary and update Advancement policies in the CRM to provide standard language and operating procedures.
* Provide in-person and online training for Advancement staff in the CRM to improve efficiency with accurate and timely data entry.
* Support the Prospect Development team by assisting with research using various public resources to identify and verify potential donors.
* Support the Prospect Development team in scheduling team meetings, managing team subscriptions and conference and travel expenses, and performing other administrative duties as assigned.

Shift

M-F 8am-5pm

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in higher education fundraising or a similar nonprofit setting.
* Proficient in donor management software and CRM systems.
* Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
* Customer service experience with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary Range: $22.00/hour - $26.00/hour
