Job Summary:

The Pharma Storage Driver is responsible for safe and reliable transport of customer products and goods to and from Alcami Pharma Storage. The Driver will be delivering and picking up customer products primarily in the New England area, coordinating deliveries amongst multiple departments and mapping out the most efficient route. This position is challenged with a daily routine that changes based on customer demand and generally takes place in a fast-paced work environment. This may be a full-time or part-time position.

On-Site Expectations:

  • 100% on-site position.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high value customer products to and from Alcami Pharma Storage.
  • Handle product appropriately and enter information electronically into applicable system, as required.
  • Monitor temperature in controlled vehicles during addition and removal of product.
  • Clean the Pharma Storage facility, work area, vehicles, and/or chambers.
  • Coordinate deliveries with multiple departments, as needed.
  • Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDPs) to complete documentation.
  • Develop efficient routes for pick-ups and deliveries.
  • Obey speed limits and road signs/rules.
  • Load and unload packages and pallets.
  • Bring and obtain the required paperwork.
  • Ensures customer product arrives in the same condition it left.
  • Ensures accurate, timely deliveries.
  • Inspects vehicles and reports necessary maintenance or repairs.
  • Report questionable issues to management for evaluation and determination.
  • Operate temperature monitoring devices.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • HS diploma or GED equivalent.
  • +2 years of experience driving a company truck or large vehicle.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Honesty, Integrity, and Confidentiality.
  • DOT Training.
  • Good Written and Verbal Communication Skills.
  • Valid Driver's License.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • GMP experience.
  • Experience operating refrigerated truck.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Positive attitude.

Travel Expectations:

  • Potential overnight travel.

You will occasionally need to climb/balance, or stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. You will frequently be lifting between 10-50 pounds and occasionally lifting between 50-75 pounds. You will need close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less) and distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more, color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors), peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. You will regularly work in outdoor weather conditions. You will frequently be exposed to vibration. You will occasionally be working in an office or lab, in wet or humid conditions, working near moving mechanical parts and at risk of electrical shock. This role works with a moderate noise level (business office with computers/printers and light traffic).
