Title: Camp CBG Counselor

Exemption Status: Non-Exempt

Department: Education

Reports to: Manager, Camp Programs

Supervises: Campers, Volunteers

Seasonal Full-time

Position Overview: Assist Camp Programs with daily camper drop off and pick up, serve as an instructional aide, and supervise lunch. Camp CBG is a specialized program of the Education Department that focuses on the development, delivery, and evaluation of outdoor science, nature, art, and food-based educational programs for children ages 2 to 15.

Responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for the following:

  • Assist with daily drop off and pick up of campers.
  • Greet and welcome parents and campers.
  • Supervise campers during lunch period.
  • Assist camp instructors in executing all camp activities and functions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Position is 6.5 hours per day, seasonal, from June 3 through August 9, 2024.

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will have the following:

  • At least one year of experience working with or teaching children.
  • Must enjoy working with people of all ages.
  • A reputation for punctuality, flexibility, and efficiency.

Physical Demands: Must be able to work outdoors, stand for long periods of time, and lift 25 pounds.
