The Opportunity: The F&B Supervisor will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless operations. This individual will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all aspects of the dining experience, including maintaining high service standards, managing staff, and contributing to an exceptional customer experience.

Duties and Functions:

  • Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring excellent customer service and guest satisfaction.
  • Train, guide, and lead a team of waitstaff, hosts/hostesses, and other service personnel.
  • Manage and organize table reservations, ensuring optimal seating arrangements and efficient table turnover.
  • Monitor and maintain restaurant cleanliness, presentation, and ambiance.
  • Collaborate with the culinary and beverage team to ensure timely and accurate food and beverage delivery.
  • Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and prompt manner, including follow-up.
  • Assist in developing and implementing Operating Guidelines (OG) to enhance service quality and efficiency.
  • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with management to place orders for supplies and beverages.
  • Enforce health and safety regulations, and ensure all staff adhere to sanitation and hygiene standards.
  • Participate in staff scheduling, ensuring adequate coverage for peak and off-peak hours.
  • Perform regular staff evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and identify training needs.
  • Assist in planning and executing special events, banquets, and private parties.

Qualification Standards:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in hospitality management is a plus.
  • Proven experience (2-4 years) in a supervisory role within the food and beverage industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of restaurant operations, customer service protocols, and food safety regulations.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, guide, and develop a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers and staff.
  • Proficiency in handling POS systems, reservation platforms, and basic computer applications.
  • Outstanding organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to multitask.
  • Problem-solving aptitude to address challenges in real-time and make sound decisions.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as per operational demands.
  • Certification in food safety and responsible alcohol service is desirable.
