Overview

Nakupuna Solutions is looking for an Administrative Analyst to provide professional support services for the Department of State. This individual shall be able to collect data and prepare critical analysis reports in support of the Afghan Special Immigrant Visa Program. They must possess a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

The following reflects management's definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign additional duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.

    Efficiently transfers application data into the ASIV unit's web-based case management system, including accurately transcribing names, application dates, and employment information for adjudication by unit case workers, achieving a processing rate of at least 35 cases per day when core work responsibility is only case data entry
  • Identifies data entry errors and discrepancies; recommends corrections and takes remedial action when possible
  • Analyzes applications for evidence of previous participation in the SIV program, or previous denial from participation and flags such prior participation and reasons for denial. Assess if new information provided overcomes previous grounds for non-approval
  • Analyzes and makes recommendation on approval and non-approval for participation in the program
  • Mentors and provides regular feedback for new employees working on applications at the verification and/or data entry stage of ASIV processing
  • Uses Microsoft Outlook to monitor a shared office inbox, appropriately flagging messages for further action by ASIV unit personnel. Sends document verification requests by email to employers, achieving a processing rate of at least 10 cases per day when core work responsibility is only verifications. Reviews and analyzes responses received to ensure accuracy and completeness. Follow up as needed
  • Validates employer data by verifying points of contact, email addresses, and phone numbers. Updates ASIV's web-based case management system and Microsoft Access with up-to-date information
  • Compiles statistical data for unit quarterly and annual reports
  • Analyzes information/data to make sound decisions
  • Processes and analyzes multiple data sources across standard operating procedures and regulations to provide a complete package of information
  • Uses information to create trends, reports, spreadsheets, briefing slides, etc
  • Finds ways to successfully streamline streamline processes for a more efficient program office
  • Generate weekly statistics, spreadsheets, and various reports
  • Provide cultural analysis and strategic support
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree and four years of experience or 7 years of related office experience and associate degree or 10 years related experience and a High School diploma.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collects data and can prepare critical analysis reports on concise trend and other research materials.
  • Manages other tasks authorized by Government Task Manager that fall within the scope of this task order.

Clearance: This position requires an active Secret security clearance. Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Candidate must be within driving distance of DC Metro Area.

Physical Requirements: In addition to the skills and qualifications mentioned above, candidates must, at a minimum, be able to meet the following physical requirements.

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to use stairs without assistance
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, and fingers
  • Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to stand, sit, walk, lift, carry, reach, kneel, crouch, bend and climb a step stool/ladder
