POSITION PURPOSE/MISSION:

Lead Human Capital Management (HCM) applications by taking ownership of UKG Pro and Workforce Management (WFM) technologies - product development and ensuring that system impacts, and governance are thoroughly considered. Oversee existing HRIS set-up and workflow design while implementing additional capability regarding HR business processes/needs. Evaluate, develop, and implement additional capabilities. Work closely with Human Resources to understand business requirements and ensure that existing workflows and set-up meet complex business needs across the HR organization.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related degree.
  • Seven plus years' in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and HCM (Human Capital Management) oversight, configuration, and support.
  • Detailed understanding of UKG architecture and security.
  • Workday, Dayforce/Ceridian, ADP or related system experience in Compensation, Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking, Scheduling modules with an understanding of end user functionality and configurations, integrations, reporting and analytics capabilities.
  • Demonstrated functional and technical expertise and leadership in support of system and processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills that is adaptable to different audiences.
  • Ability to think analytically and troubleshoot basic to complex system functionality.
  • Proficient in the advanced features of Microsoft Office products.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Workday configuration and integration experience in at least four functional areas (Core HCM, Talent, Compensation, Payroll, Performance, Benefits, Absence, Time Tracking, Recruiting, LMS)
  • Advanced Reporting design in-system and integration to other dynamic dashboard tools.
  • Functional Human Resources experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and team skills.
  • Experience supporting an HRIS capacity within a manufacturing environment.


MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Lead research, design, configuration, and testing of new system solutions and existing processes.
  • Establish and enforce governance standards for HR Technology systems, ensuring data accuracy, security structure, business process configuration, and ongoing inbound and outbound integrations.
  • Stay abreast of application capabilities in order to support HR centers of excellence with strategic roadmap items
  • Oversee testing and roll-out of feature releases.
  • Lead efforts to ensure documentation, such as user guides and technical specifications, is consistent and accurate by collaborating with other HCM leads, analysts, developers, and stakeholders
  • Think critically as an HR practitioner and technical resource to balance practical HR application with system functionality. Translate high-level HR business requirements into functional specifications for HR system development and manage changes to such specifications to ensure seamless integration.
  • Participate in related core system/function projects that overlap with application functionality.
  • Serve as primary liaison to HR system vendor(s) to understand technology capabilities and recommend solutions that address business needs.
  • Provide day-to-day end-user support (primarily to the HR function), including trouble-shooting and resolution of all requests and issues.
  • Design and implement custom reporting/analytics and dashboards to align with HR strategy.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for Continuous Improvement to maximize process and systems efficiencies. Proactively manage HR system foundational data and measure the quality of HR data used in analysis.
  • Responsible for effective communication through regular updates, user documentation, and ongoing training materials.
  • Train and mentor new HR team members on core Charter Manufacturing HRIS systems
  • Set-up and maintain HRIS system security
  • Follow Environmental, Quality and Safety Management System procedures and requirements.

POSITION CHALLENGES:

  • Balancing the requirements/capabilities of the HR System with other overlapping systems from different functional areas such as Payroll/Shared Services, IT, and Benefits.
  • Supporting decentralized HR teams with utilizing system capabilities.
  • Balancing system and HR best practices.
