The Opportunity: As a Server in the Catering/Banquet Department, you will play a vital role in creating exceptional dining experiences for our members and guests during private events, weddings, banquets, and other special occasions. Your attention to detail, professionalism, and dedication to providing impeccable service will contribute to the overall success of our events and uphold the club's reputation for excellence.

Duties and Functions:

  • Assist with the complete setup and breakdown of the banquet area.
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness and awareness of sanitary practices.
  • Anticipate guests' needs and exceed customer service expectations.
  • Maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relay important information about orders, allergies and special requests to the appropriate person.
  • Respond urgently and appropriately to any concerns.
  • Present in professional appearance and mannerisms.
  • Follow instructions given by the banquet manager.

Qualification Standards:

  • Previous experience in banquet or fine dining service is preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
  • Ability to multitask and maintain composure in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order taking and service.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor, reflecting the club's upscale image.
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage etiquette, as well as wine service.
  • Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods and lift moderately heavy trays or equipment.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile to exceed guest expectations.
  • Familiarity with safety and sanitation regulations in a food service setting.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, which includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food/beverage weighing up to 20-25 pounds.
